Membership

The Sports Club offers several categories of membership which are described below. New members can join at any time of year. See the information below or contact the membership secretary for further details.

Membership Categories 

Life Membership – Available for existing members.
Full Membership – An adult membership.
Family Membership  – Two adults plus children.
Single Parent Membership – One adult plus children.
Intermediate Membership  - Aged 19 to 25 or full-time student.
Juvenile Membership – Aged 16-18 years.
Junior Membership – Under 16 years.
Running/Hockey Membership – Running and Hockey Sports Club members.
Associate Membership – Social member.

Membership privileges

Life/Full/Family/Single Parent/Intermediate/Juvenile/Junior Memberships give access to all the sports played at Nunholm, squash, tennis, cricket and all the club facilities including the gym.

Running/Hockey Memberships give access to the changing facilities, showers and the bar areas.

Associate Memberships are for social members and give access to the bar areas.

Membership benefits

Membership entitles you to a 10% discount on sports goods from Knox Sports of Dumfries on production of your membership receipt.

2009 Membership Rates

Subscriptions are due from the 1st March 2009 and can be paid from that date at the Clubhouse or by post to the Membership Secretary. If you wish your fob to be sent through the post please enclose a SAE.

Members who currently hold a key fob should deduct £4.00 per fob from these figures.

Life Membership
is available for existing members – £999.00
An application form is available from the bar.

Full Membership
Existing and new members – £170
Or £80 Deposit plus 4 post dated cheques of £25 (April May June July)
Or £15 per month via standing order or pro-rata

Family Membership (2 adults plus children)
Existing and new members – £340 (2 fobs)
Or £160 Deposit plus 4 post dated cheques of £50 (April May June July)
Or £30 per month via standing order or pro-rata

Single Parent Memberships (adult plus children)
Existing and new members – £200 (2 fobs)
Or £116 Deposit plus 4 post dated cheques of £25 (April May June July)
Or £18 per month via standing order or pro-rata

Running/Hockey Membership
Existing and new members – £83
Or £50 Deposit and one post dated cheque of £40 (April)
Or £7.50 per month via standing order or pro-rata

Intermediate (19-25 years) or full time student
Existing and new members – £70
Or £40 Deposit and one post dated cheque of £38 (April)
Or £6.50 per month via standing order or pro-rata

Juvenile Membership (16 -18 years)
Existing and new members – £40

Junior Membership (under 16 years)
Existing and new members – £30

Associate Membership
Existing and new members – £25

Membership Notes

  • All the above prices include the cost of the fob which is a non-recurring charge.
  • Members who currently hold a key fob should deduct £4.00 from the above figures.
  • The full fees must be paid if you were a member on the 28th Feb 2009. 
  • Only new members are allowed reduced fees.
  • All members must have a fob. These will be reset each year when presented at membership renewal.
  • (Subject to Management Committee approval)

Payment options

  • Monthly Standing orders are acceptable by arrangement.

  • Juniors entering the club are the responsibility of their parents.
