On Saturday, in the Western Premier league, Stafforce Dumfries beat West of Scotland convincingly by 109 runs to make it five wins for the season so far.

The Andersons Kilts Man of the Match, skipper Alan Davidson, hit 71 opening the batting in a Dumfries total of 236 for 8 with thirties from Drew Dawson (37) and Josh Forsyth (38).

Chris McBride, Marcus Richardson and Chris McCutcheon each contributed twenties for a competitive total.

Pat Druce then took four for sixteen, and Ronan Dunbar added two run outs, as West of Scotland slumped to 58 for 7 and eventually finished on 127 for 8.

In the Western Premier Reserve League, Nunholm overcame joint league leaders Partick at home to win by 4 wickets. Stuart Alexander took five wickets and Gurupal Singh four in the Partick total of 160 all out which was a good recovery from a position of 29 for 5.

Nunholm had a similar start losing five wickets for 61 but opener Adam Elliott scored 47 and the Stevenson McConnel Man of the Match, Chris Bellwood, marshalled the win with 61 not out.
