Alan Davidson, Richard Rennie heading south for the winter
Just when bats are being thrust away to languish for the winter two young Dumfries CC cricketers are instead packing them for use in Australia. First eleven players Alan Davidson and Richard Rennie are off to experience a season of cricket Oz style.
Alan heads for New South Wales and the Wallsend Tigers club in Newcastle. Dumfries has long standing connections with the club including this season’s skipper Scott Beveridge, and Brett Jackson who starred for Dumfries two seasons ago, both of whom were Wallsend players, as surprisingly was the current England keeper Tim Ambrose.
