DUMFRIES SPORTS CLUB – MEMBERSHIP 2023/24 – (PLEASE READ THE WHOLE POST)
Our Membership renewals for this coming year for Dumfries Sports Club can now be paid for. After several years of No increases, sadly given the current climate we have had to make a small increase with the upfront payments. There is also a small increase with Student and Intermediate Standing Orders so please adjust these. All other Standing Order payments remain the same, please see the fees below.
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF MEMBERS WHO PAY BY STANDING ORDERS AND LIFE MEMBERS, THEN ALL OTHER MEMBERS ARE ASKED TO COMPLETE A NEW MEMBERSHIP FORM OR CONFIRM BY EMAIL OR TO THE BAR STAFF, THAT ALL DETAILS REMAIN THE SAME AS 2022.
The club has several way you can pay your membership;
- Monthly Standing Order, (form attached https://dumfriessportsclub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/dumfries-sports-club-standing-order-form.pdf or you can set-up via mobile or online banking)
- Standing Orders payments are made in advance, so you pay for the following month. i.e 1st March covers March etc.
- If you pay by Standing Order, you are still required to pay for the whole membership year, regardless of your sports season or injuries, this is not a pay as you play facility.
- Bank Transfer for full amount, please add members name as a reference so we can match payments,
- The membership team has to wait on confirmation of payments from others, so there will always be a delay in re-activating/creating memberships. Please be patient.
- Court Booking Account Top-Up, by adding the appropriate fees to your booking account via Paypal or Card payment.
- You can pay through your court booking account but there is an additional charge to cover Paypal fees. Full members should deposit £186 (£180 cash), Senior members £112 (£108 cash) & a Student or Intermediate is £96 (£93 cash).
- Cheque/Cash – If you would prefer to pay by cheque or cash then please drop into the club during opening hours and pay at the bar. Please get a receipt from the staff and if paying by cheque/cash, please ensure we can match it to you! It is not uncommon for partners and parents to cover these fees, so add a note for who the fee is covering please.
Life Members:- Please just check your details are up to date, nothing else required.
Standing Order/Faster Payments
If you pay by Standing Order, please check if your membership category is changing because of your age and adjust your payments accordingly by the end of February please.
PLEASE NOTE, IF MEMBERS DO NOT COMPLETE THEIR MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL BY THE END OF SUNDAY 12TH MARCH 2023, THEN WE WILL PRESUME THEY HAVE RESIGNED FROM THE CLUB AND WE WILL HAVE THEIR KEY FOB DEACTIVATED.
Current members renewing after the 12th March will still be required to pay a full years fee, regardless of when they re-join.

GDPR – Please note, the club only holds your information for the purpose of promoting the club and for fellow members to contact you for games within the respective activities/leagues. Any member who leaves the club will have their details placed in a void list which is only accessible to the membership secretary and these details will be deleted after 3 years if you do not return. Void members will not receive any further communication from our club during this 3 year retention period.
Benefits
Any member of Dumfries Sports Club can become a British Tennis Member using Dumfries LTC as their venue. If you become a member through this club then you are eligible to enter the Wimbledon Ballot for tickets to the event in 2024. To join for free see the link below. Any questions please ask.
