Cricket: Monday junior coaching sessions

After winter indoor training for the club’s juniors the Monday night junior sessions will start outside at Nunholm on Monday the 23rd April, 6:15-8pm. These are open to non-members and new, and beginner, boys and girls will be welcomed.

Introduction to Cricket Course in April

The cricket section are looking for those interested in doing the following course, an Introduction to Cricket, which is scheduled in Dumfries in April.

ICC Introduction to Cricket Course (delivered through Cricket Scotland)
Location : Max High Sports Hall, Lochside Road, Dumfries, DG2 0EL
Dates: Thu 19th and 26th April (6-9pm). Cost: £25

Description : This course is suitable for club helpers, parents, teachers, classroom assistants, volunteers or simply anyone interested in cricket.

It is a starting point for those that want to develop their coaching or would enable you to provide occasional help to the coaches or be more involved in the junior cricket at the club.

Easter Cricket Academy

Marc (Brown) who coached the seniors and juniors last season wants the juniors to know he is involved in running two Cricket Academy Sessions over Easter in Carlisle.

Social: Games Night – Fri 30th March

The club are holding a Games Night on Friday 30th March. So put down your racquet or bat and try your hand at darts, pool, and dominos.

Starting at 7:30. Prizes for winners. Entry £1 per person. All Sports Club members and their guests welcome.

The first ever Nunholm’s Got Talent is in prospect in midsummer with a proposed date of Saturday 23rd June. So the club is looking for singers or acts. Like the show, no talent is necessary.

The Dumfries Sports Club Membership Week for 2012/13 takes place at the end of the month and is the opportunity to renew for this year or join the Sports Club as a new member.

Cricket: 2012 Womens and Girls Coaching

Dumfries Cricket Club womens and girls coaching sessions have started for 2012.

The club is looking for new players to take up the game so contact the club to have a Come and Try session and if interested some follow up coaching.

Cricket: Indoor junior coaching sessions

Dumfries Cricket Club indoor junior cricket sessions are underway for 2012.

For primary age (mostly P6/7) pupils session are taking place on Monday afternoons, for both boys and girls, until the end of term. These are held weekly at the Dumfries High School Games Hall, the David Keswick Centre, from 4 pm to 5.30 pm.

Sessions for secondary age pupils are taking place on Saturday afternoons outside at Nunholm – from 2pm to 3pm. These start on Saturday Feb 4th and run till the end of term.
