We have a good, and increasing, number of juniors of all ages. There are junior teams in different age groups competing in the South of Scotland LTA National Club League.

Our tennis coach is Richard Cunningham who is able to provide coaching for all ages and standards. Regular coaching groups are held and individual coaching can be arranged. Richard is a fully qualified LTA level 2 Coach.

Junior Coaching for different age groups takes place on Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday afternoon, Saturday morning and Sundays at different times depending on the season. Please see the main tennis page or noticeboard for relevant times. For any further information please contact Michael on 07734 073397 or come down to one of the sessions for a chat.

Cricket

The cricket section have a strong junior set-up. They are an accredited TopClub as controlled by Cricket Scotland. This is an assessment of the junior development and procedures which are in place.

Throughout the cricket season there is junior coaching on Monday nights for the youngest cricketers and further coaching sessions during the week for the older age groups. Age groups range from Under 10, Under 13, through to playing adult cricket. Junior matches for Dumfries are played locally during the season at different age groups and the club has performed well at the Scottish National Kwik Cricket festival.

With selection possible for the Dumfries and Galloway teams, and then for the West of Scotland, some of the club juniors have subsequently gone on to represent Scotland.
